It looks nice, the finish is quite good and the veneer looks top quality, but there’s not a stick of non-manufactured wood in it. It really is impressive, how even the frames of the doors are veneer. I’m sure the particle board is good quality, for particle board, but it won’t have near the longevity of a real piece of furniture, made from real ’stick’ lumber.
On the plus side, it’s a nice design and the piece is engineered well; it was no problem to assemble, though I did glue the drawers together to make them sturdier. The only real problem was in fitting the back plates on. They just didn’t fit no matter how I adjusted them, so I ended up trimming about 1/16″ off the center section. That fixed the problem, but you’ll need a decent table saw to make such an adjustment.
The other minor problem is that it appears to be next to impossible to drive the screws in which fasten the center shelf to its metal supports. These aren’t strictly required, but the screws are provided. It’s just that there’s no way to get a screwdriver with which you can apply any real torque into the narrow space below the shelf.
In short, it looks good and will probably work just fine. But it won’t stand up to a comparison with a quality piece of furniture. Of course it costs a fraction of what you’d pay for good quality, so if you’re on a budget you could do worse. Just be aware of the compromises.

You really need two people to assemble this item, and about three hours. The stain is a more red than what appears in the picture.The drawers could fit better, but for $300.00 it’s ok .

We were looking for a TV stand that has all of the features to allow all of the different types of equipment needed for a new HiDef TV but still had a solid wood, antique look to fit with the rest of our furnishings. This stand really filled the bill. It was relatively easy to put together, taking about an hour or so, with all of the parts clearly marked and good directions. I will say, this stand is very heavy, you are not going to move it around to clean under it very often. Build it in the area where you are going to place it. Great pieceof furniture
