My Home Theater Set-up 1

I just thought I’d make a quick video to show what my home theater looks like. To some not into the home theater hobby like I am, a 92″ screen may seem big, but for a front projection set-up it really is on the smaller side. However, since I do not have a basement, and could only use my living room, I was limited to the size of the room. Right now, at 92″, watching movies is comfortable, if I went too much bigger I’d start having to look from side to side like sitting in the front row of a movie theater and that’s just no fun. I am pretty happy with what I have, which took a few years to accumulate. I think my next upgrade will be getting a proper amp to run my center and rear channels. I’d like to go to a Widescope screen and use a Panamorph lens so I could have a constant height set-up, but I think I’ll wait unitl I buy a house with a basement and can build a true theater room. Who knows, maybe not.
Watch Part Two: www.youtube.com Thanks for watching.

nice set up really awesome like the speakers under the couch
nice you have me beat by 20” i have a focupix screen 72”plan to upgrade to 100 or 120”
@ervinarts Thanks for the compliment, there’s still a couple of things I’d like to change, but for the most part, I’m very happy. For the video, I have an HD camcorder so the source is pretty good. I uploaded this video before I had a program I could use to edit my HD vids so I simply uploaded the file straight from the camera to Youtube uncompressed.
Very nice equipment. How did you get the video so crystal clear?
Jesus Christ! 5* nice setup! How much did all this equipment cost you?
Thanks for the compliment. My neighbor on the side of the house where my screen is can hear the sub in her house, but says she doesn’t mind. I still try to be courteous and don’t blast things too late in the night.
Very nice setup fellow avs’er… how do the neighbors react to a storm of acoustics;-)
At the time I bought the screen, I had a cheap projector that didn’t put out a lot of lumens, so I needed a high gain screen. The Silver Star was kind of expensive. If I were to buy a new screen today, I woudn’t need to go too expensive. In fact, since it hangs on the wall, I’d probably just paint a screeen on there. If I had a dedicated room, however, I’d get an accoustically transparent screen and then it’d go back to being expensive.
Because all of the lights are on and the front door is open letting in the sunlight. In normal viewing conditions, the picture is fantastic, not washed out at all.
why does your projector looked washed out?
92″? Holy freakin cow. That thing is huge. Did that thing cost your right arm too, or just your left?
???
Nice, but istead of buying all that why dont you move out of your folks home first.
They’re called Bass Shakers. You connect them to the subwoofer channel and they vibrate at the frequency being output. They provide a tactile feeling for the sub channel.
nice very nice i might make one of my home theater to show you, btw what was those things under your sofa i couldnt understand
Thanks for the compliment. Took awhile to piece it together, and I doubt I’ll ever stop added or changing things.
wooow that´s awesome, congratulations for the excelent home theater.
